Agatha Irere Lambeth, 97, passed away at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday February 26, 2014 at St. Luke’s Nursing Home, Carthage, Missouri.
Agatha was born November 3, 1916 in Maple Grove, Missouri. Agatha was united in marriage to A.J. Lambeth March 3, 1935; they lived east of Avilla, MO and were blessed with four children. Years later they moved to the farm located in the Deer Creek school community near Maple Grove. She worked for Belks in Carthage; they also operated a drive-in-restaurant in Columbus, Kansas for several years.
She is preceded by her husband A.J. Lambeth in 2004, and two sons Jimmy Lambeth and Gordon Lambeth. Agatha is survived by one son Larry Lambeth and wife Doris of Noel, MO and one Daughter Rolena Shaw and husband Stanley of Carl Junction, MO. Ten grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Agatha was baptized at Forest Park Church in Joplin years ago.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday March 3, 2014 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday March 3, 2014 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Avilla Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
