Gerri Dahnke

Geraldine K. “Gerri” Dahnke On February 11, 2014, Geraldine (Gerri) Dahnke, 84, left this world to be with God.

 Gerri was born on November 16, 1929 in Mulhall, OK, to William Ambrose Kanehl and Elsie Louise Moses. Gerri married Ralph Lane Dahnke (R.L.) of Granby, MO, they moved to Golden, CO where she enjoyed the Denver Broncos, snowmobiling, bowling, dancing, angel collecting, reading, crossword puzzles and especially traveling and taking pictures. She and Ralph traveled extensively, by land, sea and air to spend time with and visit relatives and friends. She never forgot to send a greeting card for birthdays, anniversaries and holidays.

 Gerri was preceded in death by her husband R.L., daughter, Sharon Kay Monte of Phoenix, AZ, twin brothers Larry and Garry Dale of Cedar Vale, KS and nephew Lincoln Lewis of KS. She is survived by her brother William Ray (Nancee) Kanehl of West Richland, WA, sister Mary Lou (Bruce) Blodgett of Wichita, KS, sister Kathy (John) McMillan of Sedan, KS, sisters-in-law, Lois Lee Metcalf of Paola, KS, Anita (David) Reed of Neosho, MO, Sherry Perkins of Neosho, MO, Jackie (Leroy) Applequist of Modesto, CA, son Douglas Ray (Paula) Busby of Wheatridge, CO, son Larry (Billie) Dahnke of Joplin, MO, Grandchildren, Nicci (Bill) Srna of KS, Rhonda Pruitt of AZ, Missy Meinhardt of MO, Doug (Kristal) Dahnke of MO, Troy (Christina) Busby of GA, Erin Busby of CO, Paul Busby of CO, great-grandchildren, Aubrey (Ben) Fetherston of KS, Ryan (Kayla) Lamberson of GA, Madison Meinhardt of MO, Dalton Haist of KS, Kannen Haist of KS, Hartley Busby of GA, Sara Grace Busby of GA, William Dahnke of MO, great-great granddaughter, Jaise Harper Fetherston of KS, nieces and nephews; Pati Dee (Jim) Roberts of WA, William Kanehl of WA, Robert Kanehl of OR, Melody (Gaylan) Nett of KS, Alicia (David) Ginther of MO, Jason (Terri) Lewis of KS and many more great nieces and nephews.

 A celebration of life will be planned for later this year and an announcement will be forthcoming.
