Floye M. Kindred age 98 of Joplin, Mo. passed away Thursday February 27, 2014 following a lengthy illness.
She was born October 24, 1915 in Racine, Mo. to Alfred and Mary (Stull) Neece. Floye was a lifetime area resident. She attended the 1st Christian Church in Joplin, Mo... She was very involved with people that had disabilities. She was a house mother work 4 years at Woodhaven which was a home for people that had disabilities.
She married Charles Duke and he preceded her in death in 1958. She then married Ellis Kindred and he preceded her in death in 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Virgil Neece Floye is survived by her daughter, Paige Duke, Carthage, Mo., one sister Thelma Malett and husband Gene, Carthage, Mo., one nephew, Kim Mallett and wife Randi, One niece, Kathy Pester and husband, Paul, two great nephews Kerry Malett, Sam Pester, and one great niece, Kristin Malett.
Gravesides services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Osborne Cemetery with Rev. Fred Pugh officiating.
