Steve Clyde Glumm, age 65 of Joplin, MO, passed away at 8:18 Saturday evening March 1, 2014 at his home.
He was born on May 28, 1948 in St Louis, MO. the son of Allen and Helen “Lively” Glumm. Steve was a veteran serving his country during the Vietnam War with the United States Army. He married Linda Conway on August 28, 1969 in St Louis, MO. He was a member of the Joplin VFW post 534, the Joplin American Legion post 13 and volunteered with the American Red Cross.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Rose Hurbert. Survivors include his wife Linda of the home; a son Albert Glumm and wife Shellon of Grand Forks, ND; a daughter Pamela “Glumm” Lefmann and husband William of Joplin, MO; eight grandchildren: Andrew Glumm, Faith Herron, Jessica Herron, Brittanie Herron, Christopher Harpole, Elizabeth Glumm, Brandon Glumm and Arya Glumm; four great-grandchildren: Ayden Duncan, Ace Glumm, Collin Haddock and Patience Haddock; a brother Ira Glumm and wife Claudine; a sister Charlotte “Glumm” Rasor and husband Ray; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday March 12, 2014 at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Monday March 10, 214 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary. The family suggests contributions to the American Red Cross in care of the Mortuary.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
