Johnnie Anderson

(From Parker Mortuary)

Jack Harold "Johnnie" Anderson Jr., hisspirit went to be with the LORD on Tuesday morning, March 11, 2014 in Joplin, Missouri, after a long illness.

He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 24, 1948 to the late Jack Harold Anderson Sr. and Lois L. Newman. Jack was a native American, a member of the Lakota Sioux. He served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1970.

Jack was reunited with his “sweetheart”, Verdia Lee Miller, and they were married on September 23, 2013. They shared what little time that he had left on this earth, with LOVE. Jack had rededicated his life to the LORD in June 2013, and followed Christ our SAVIOR.

Jack has touched many lives during his lifetime, he is survived by his extended family and friends, Wilma “Momma Willie” Edwards, Randy Davidson, Bobbie Rose, Camilla Smith, Jacqui Watkins, and Yvelda Shannon, all of Joplin, and Lisa Blevins of Stella, Missouri.

Jack leaves his precious memories for all of us to remember. He was a man that could accomplish anything that he wanted. He was a hard worker and “Jack of all trades”. He loved to fish and tell stories; he could make you laugh, smile, and cry at the same time.

Survivors include his wife, Verdia Lee Miller-Anderson of Chillicothe, Missouri, daughter Sheena Eastburn of Chillicothe, Missouri, and step-daughter Chrystal Rodriguez of Florida.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Harold Anderson Sr; mother, Lois L. Cox Newman; brothers’ Tommy Anderson and Melvin Cox; and sister Teresa Anderson.
