Alice Mullin

Alice Jean Petty Mullin, passed into the arms of our Lord on March 7, 2014. She was born February 5, 1951, in Joplin, Missouri, to Arthur C. and Leona Longstreet Petty. She graduated from Diamond High School in 1969 and from Crowder College in 1971.

Alice worked many years as a secretary; first at Vickers, Joplin, Pillsbury, Joplin, then at Bank of America, Carthage, and later at Leggett and Platte, Carthage, where she worked 15 years. She had recently retired to have time to travel and spend time with her family. She was very dear to all of us and will be greatly missed.

She married Roger Mullin, June 7, 1975. Roger survives.

Alice is survived by a daughter, Robyn Lomax and husband, Jack and two grandchildren Addyson and Jaxon, Plano, TX.; a stepson, Ryan Mullin and wife, LeAnn and a stepdaughter, Ranna Mullin, Wisconsin, a brother, Arthur Petty (Cathy), Diamond and six sisters: Linda (Larry) James, Neosho; Mary Lou Sloan (Steve), Joplin; Ann Patrick (Glen), Diamond: Deana Crouch, Springfield; Marcia Robertson, Joplin; Laura Mills (Larry) Joplin; and Julia Fehring (David), Neosho. Also surviving is a host of nieces and nephews and several cousins. She is survived by an aunt, Janis Gouge, Joplin and an uncle, Ed Bowman, Lenexa, KS. She is also survived by her mother and step-father, Leona and Pete Conrow, Duenweg and stepbrother, Dennis Conrow, Carthage, stepsisters, Debbie Rhodes and Jeannie, State of Oregon. She is preceded in death by her father Arthur C. Petty, Sr.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Diamond First Baptist Church, Diamond, Mo. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Stone Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Diamond First Baptist Church Building Fund care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
