Mary Ruth Daugherty, 79, Neosho, died March 20, 2014 at Freeman West Hospital, following a short illness.
Mary Ruth was born Sept. 16, 1934 in Neosho and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Neosho High School in 1953 and had worked at J. C. Penney, Williams Department Store and as billing clerk at the City of Neosho, where she retired. Mary Ruth was a member of Northside Baptist Church; former member of the ABWA; enjoyed quartet music, baseball, racing and going to the casino and playing bingo with friends.
She is survived by her sisters, Ila Jean Hoover, Neosho; 9 nieces and nepehws; numerous great nieces and nephews and a longtime special friend, Linda Sprague, Neosho. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Hazel(Caldwell) Daugherty; two sisters, Helen Rollins and Marjorie Carnes and a brother, Jack Daugherty.
