Marjorie M. Short age 87 of Webb City passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in Springfield, Missouri.
She was born on March 15, 1926 in Martinsville, Missouri to Ralph D. Smith and Jennie Baker Smith. Marjorie was a Registered Nurse and retired from McCune Brooks Hospital in Carthage, and she was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Webb City. She married Harold Dale Short and he preceded her in death on December 20, 2007.
Marjorie is survived by her sons, Stephen Short and wife Gloria of Fair Grove, Missouri, David Short and wife Susan of Midlothian, Texas; daughter, Judy Williams of Chicago, Illinois; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Mount Hope Cemetery at the Open Air Pavilion with Pastor Paul Gray officiating. There will be no visitation or viewing. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to your favorite charity. Services are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
