Matthew James Brown, age 37, Joplin, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at his residence.
Matthew was born May 16, 1976 in Joplin and was a Joplin resident most of his life.
He worked in sales at area furniture stores, including Furniture Factory Outlet and Slumberland Furniture. He was a sheet metal worker and belonged to the local sheet metal workers union. He had worked several years for Springfield Engineering.
Survivors include his parents, Esta and Robert Bucklin, Sr., Joplin; a daughter, Caitlin Brown, Joplin; a son, Tyler Brown, Joplin; two sisters, Kim See and her husband, Scott, Carl Junction, Shelly Hipfl and her husband, Steve, Frontenac, Kansas; one brother, Scott Bucklin, St. Joseph, Missouri; several nieces; nephews and other extended family members.
Matthew was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Bucklin, Jr.
Graveside services are planned for Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. John Holman will officiate. Pallbearers will be Scott See, Bradley See, Nathan See, Stephen Hipfl, Ron See and Spencer See.
