Helen Sims, 91, Granby, died at March 1, 2014 in Granby, following a short term illness.
Helen was born July 18, 1922 in Granby, the daughter of Earl and Ella (Peters) Largen. She was a lifelong area resident and a homemaker.
Helen married Terrel Sims on Aug. 17, 1942 and he preceded her in death on March 18, 1996. She is survived by four children, Deloris Shewmake, Granby; Terry Sims and wife, Brenda, Neosho; Cheryl Fazel and husband, Tom, Wichita, KS and Shirley L. Castiaux and husband, John, Cookeville, TN; a granddaughter they raised, Danette Whitman, Granby; one brother, Bill Largen, Afton, OK; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Richard Sims, grandson, Justin Sims; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
