Clarence "Glenn" Beezley, Jr., age 83, of Oronogo, MO, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at his residence.
Glenn was born April 22, 1930, in Asbury, MO, to the late Clarence G. Beezley, Sr., and Lois E. Markham Beezley. Glenn graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City Pharmacy School with a Masters Degree as a Registered Pharmacist. He worked as a Registered Pharmacist in many places around the Joplin and surrounding area, also owning and operating Bragdon Drug Store in Sarcoxie, MO, and Glenn's Pharmacy in Joplin, MO. Glenn was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church.
Glenn married Marlene J. Marn on August 11, 1957, and to that union four children were born, son, Tim Beezley and wife Mary of Carl Junction; daughters, Melodie Crossley and husband Vincent of Oronogo, Sharon Lamb and husband Rickey of Joplin, Melissa Beezley and fiancé' Cody Allen of Joplin; sisters, Norma Jean Jacobs of Joplin, Denise Beezley; brothers, David H. Beezley of Joplin and Douglas K. Beezley of Branson, MO; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren that was very much cherished by their Grandpa. Many extended family including nieces and nephews that loved Glenn and will miss him very much. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services are planned for Friday, March 14, 2014, at 6:00 PM at the Parker chapel, visitation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to Mercy Hospice in care of the mortuary.
There will be a private family interment of ashes at Ozark Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
The family would like to thank Linda, LeAnn and all the staff of Mercy Hospice for their great care while taking care of Glenn.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
