Brice "Pete" Henry age 88 of Carthage, MO. passed away March 9, 2014 at Freemen West Hospital in Joplin, MO.
He was born February 17, 1926 in Jasper, Missouri to Arley and Clara (York) Henry. Pete was retired from Steadley Manufacturing and was a cattle farmer. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Pete attended the Fairview Christian Church and was a member of the Carthage Saddle Club, the Governors Mounted Guard and numerous Horse Associations.
Pete was united in marriage to Nova Faucett on July 1,1950. She preceded him in death on February 26, 1992. Survivors include two sons, A.D. Henry of Reeds, MO. and Gary Henry of Carthage, MO.. Three daughters, Brenda Whitman, Cathy Holzwarth and Dianne Palmer all of Carthage.. One brother, John Henry of Carthage. Eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two infant sons, Carliss and Robert Wayne, a daughter Annette Osborn and a brother Gene Henry.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Dudman Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12,2014 at Fairview Christian Church, Carthage, MO. Burial will be in Dudman Springs Cemetery east of Carthage.
