Margie Shuey

Margie Faye Shuey, 97, Neosho, died March 30, 2014 at her home, following a lengthy illness.

 Margie was born Oct. 30, 1916 in Jasper County, MO and was a lifelong area resident. She had worked in the sewing department of Miller Manufacturer in Joplin until her retirement. Margie was a member of the Joplin Association for the Blind, an avid gardener and enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a mentor to all children. She was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church in Joplin. 

Margie and Loyd Elmer Shuey were married on July 3, 1933 in Jasper County and he preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1986. She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Cox, Neosho; three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Wayne Shuey and great granddaughter, Gillian Cooper.
