John Sitler, 77, Granby, died March 10, 2014 at his home with his wife by his side.
John was born April 29, 1936 in Aroma, MO, to Vernon Harold and Stella Chloe (Wingo) Sitler. John served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1962. He returned to Southwest Missouri and became a minister. Rev. Sitler worked closely with Rev. Don and Myrna Marble in the ministry for many years. John was a Charter member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Neosho, Mo.
John was preceded in death by his wife Joan Sitler in 1993 then married Donna (Martin) Sitler in 1994 she survives; additional survivors are four daughters; Sheri Cobb and husband Randy, Neosho, Karen Burr and husband David, Neosho, Teresa Evans and husband Lee, Neosho and Angie Spearman and husband Chris.; ten grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
The family will receive friends Wednesday March 12, 2014, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home Granby Chapel
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Granby Memorial Cemetery.
