(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Christopher Ira Richards, age 69, Baxter Springs, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
He was born August 29, 1952, in Joplin, Missouri to the late Earl Nelson Richards and Mary Viola Mullins.
After competing Tulsa Welding School, he worked for B and D Fabrication until retirement.
Chris married Sherry Crabtree April 13, 1992, in Miami, OK. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include, one son,
Christopher Rip Richards, Joplin, MO; one daughter, Carrie Lynn Berg and husband, Samuel, Centerton, AR; two grandchildren Zachery Rogers and Ashlynn Berg; and a great grandchild, Bristol Knight, with one on the way.
He is preceded in death by one son, Michael Christopher Richards; one brother; Earl Nelson Richards, Jr.; two sisters, Mary Dardenne and Terry Maunte; and one great granddaughter, Isabella Rogers.
Chris has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Baxter Chapel for cremation.
