(From Parker Mortuary)Mildred Darlene Collins, age 86, of Joplin, MO, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin.
Mildred was born on February 13, 1936 in Joplin, MO, the daughter of Floyd and Viola Heron. She was a lifelong area resident. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She adored her family and her time spent with them. Her joy was watching her grandchildren grow and being active in their lives. She delighted in attending church and being with her church family. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed for her contagious smile, love, and kind heart towards others.
She is survived by her daughter, Phillis Crouch; grandchildren, Steven Wills, Sherry Cornell and her husband, Chris, Donnie Wills and his fiancé, Amanda, and Stacey Kunkel and her husband Matt; great grandchildren, Austin and his wife Tonya, Ashtan and her fiancé, Garrett, AyLee, Alex, and Spencer; great-great grandchild, Weston; her sister, Sherian Smith and her husband, Butch; and several extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Collins, one daughter, Judy Merriman in 2019, and seven siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 10:00AM at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Webb City with Denny Carver officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday, August 17th beginning at 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Parker Mortuary in Joplin.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
