Lisa Marie Dann Stacy from Blue Springs, Mo. passed from this life at 12:14 a.m. Wednesday morning, July 27, 2022. Lisa was 63 years old, born June 15, 1959. Almost 39 years faithfully married to Dan Stacy beginning August 14, 1983.
Lisa graduated Salutatorian from Goddard High School in Roswell, N.M. She went to Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas and then to the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Education. She received her Master of Science degree from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, N.M.
She worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist with her American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence at Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District, Carrollton, Texas; Carl Junction Schools, Carl Junction, Mo.; Various Contract Testing Companies in Missouri and Colorado; and Blue Springs School District in Blue Springs, Mo. She was Liggett Trail Education Center Teacher of the Year, 2020-21.
Lisa was very committed to her faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior and the hope for the world. As such she served in many roles: children’s ministry, worship ministry, tech ministry, small group ministry, leadership ministry, food, discipleship, prayer ministry and others. She attended the First United Methodist Church, Roswell; and First Christian Church of Denton (Disciples of Christ), Denton; and was an active member in several non-denominational independent Christian Churches including of Denton Christian Church, Denton; Valley View Christian Church, Dallas, Texas; College Heights Christian Church, Joplin, Mo.; Rocky Mountain Christian Church, Niwot, Colo.; and Blue Springs Christian Church, Blue Springs.
Lisa encouraged Dan for them to become involved in a student’s life in her Speech Therapy practice and that boy became their adopted son, Joe. She homeschooled through high school graduation her younger two sons Trevor and Shea. She helped found Metro Homeschool Robotics which she helped to lead to two national championships. She served with Summit Bible Quizzing to challenge Christian students through fun and competition, to study and apply the Word of God, thereby encouraging spiritual growth.
She was an active citizen in the Republican Party and tried to inform herself and others about a true and balanced history of our country and a true and balanced understanding of current events. She worked behind the scenes to help Dan carry out his political efforts.

She fought cancer for 12 years, doubling the longest known survivor at the time of her rare cancer diagnosis, dual high and low grade Endometrial Stromal Sarcoma.
She was a committed daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, servant, leader, employee, teacher, therapist, citizen and Christ follower. She was grateful and proud to be able to live to see all three of her son’s happily married and doing well on their own.
Lisa is survived by her husband Daniel Reed Stacy, sons and daughters-in-law – Joseph William Stacy and Elizabeth Gerhard Stacy, Trevor Reed Stacy and Mallory Nicole Martin Stacy, Shea Daniel Stacy and Abigail Renee Stacy.
