(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Jerry Lee Judy passed from this earth on Monday December 5th, 2022. He was 78 years old.
He was born to Clyde and Brunetta Judy on July 27, 1944 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. When he was a child his family relocated to Columbus, Kansas and he made his life there.
He knew that the best parts of life are found in the simple things. He didn't know a stranger anywhere he went. He had a passion for fishing and hunting, and he loved competing at the tractor pulls. He frequented the local diner and loved to socialize and dance at the VFW.
Surviving are his children, Troy Judy of Columbus, KS. Jennifer Ervin (Judy) of Carl Junction, MO, Jaime Gartman (Judy) and spouse Ryan Gartman of Lamar, MO. Grandchildren, Brycen Judy of Columbus, KS, Kade Ervin of Joplin, MO, Kinley Ervin of Carl Junction, MO, his brother Ron Judy of Columbus, Kansas, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Brunetta Judy, his brothers Basil Judy and Bill Judy, a sister Bruna Adamson (Judy), and granddaughter Chelsea Judy.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday January 7, 2023 beginning at 3:00 PM at VFW Post 1372 in Columbus.
