(From Fohn Funeral Home)Patricia Kay “Patty” Fielding, age 69, of Springfield, Missouri passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
She was born May 31, 1953 in San Jose, California the daughter of Everet James and Betty Imogene (Henry) Edens.
On May 27, 1972 in Seligman, Missouri she was united in marriage to Rick Fielding, who survives.
Also surviving are her mother Betty Edens of Washburn, Missouri; one son, Jared Fielding and his wife Christen of Wentzville, Missouri; two daughters, Darby Fielding of Springfield, Missouri and Erin Parrigon and her husband John of Joplin, Missouri; two sisters, Pam Tibbs and her husband Bill of Wylie, Texas and Gayle Woodruff and her husband Tim of Gainesville, Florida and five grandchildren, Jackson Brownfield, Michael Parrigon, Olivia Parrigon, Aiden Fielding and Carly Fielding.
Preceding her in death was her father, Everet Edens.
Patty attended school in Washburn, Missouri graduating from Southwest High School in 1971. She moved to Springfield, Missouri in 1972 to continue her education attending Drury College in Springfield, Missouri graduating in 1975 where she attained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit for twenty years and at the Women’s Center as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant for twenty years before retiring from Cox Health Medical Center. Patty was a devoted wife and grandmother. She always attended their events any time that she could. She enjoyed canoeing and traveling with her husband of fifty years. Patty was also a devoted nurse, always going out of her way to assist others. When she was younger Patty rode horses, barrel raced and ran a few 5k races. She was well known for her chocolate chip cookies. Patty was of the Christian faith and was baptized at a young age.

There will be a visitation from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Friday, December 16, 2022 at Orchard Crest Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri.
Services will be held at 12:30 P.M. Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Washburn First Baptist Church in Washburn, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor George Wisley will conduct the services. Burial will be at Roller Cemetery in Washburn, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at Washburn First Baptist Church in Washburn.
Contributions may be made to the Fielding family in memory of Patty.
