Tony Garnatz

Tony Dee Garnatz, 66 of Monett was called home to heaven on December 2nd, 2022. To all that knew him he was a kind soul that brought laughter and smiles. Ambitious and intelligent, he started out as a teenager washing dishes, moving on to the air force, and putting himself through college to gain a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He soon became the plant manager for Marsh Engineering from where he retired.

Tony often referenced the sea otter in fascination. The sea otter brings a sense of grace and fun to the mesmerizing sea, carefree while seeking adventure in all directions. Tony did not lack in adventure and grace. 

Although he traveled, he was also able to introduce himself to adventure in his own backyard while teaching his girls the love of his kindred spirit. He was a man of faith, love, with an astounding devotion to his family and friends.

Tony is survived by his 2 daughters: Toni G Ortiz of Monett, Kristi Brittenham and her husband Cole Brittenham of Pierce City.

Three sisters; Juanita Dotson of Cassville, Debbie Nelson of Casey Illinois, and Roberta Rhodes of Joplin.

Two brothers; Vincent Garnatz of Newton Kansas, Greg Garnatz of Hulbert Oklahoma.

Grandchildren; Shaelene, Avianna, Preston, Shelby, and Shilah

Great grandchildren; Mattrim

He was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Schaar

Brother, Tom Garnatz, and sister n law Estella Garnatz.

Visitation for Tony is being held on Monday December 12, 2022, from 9:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation at 11:00a.m. on Monday December 12, 2022, at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett, Missouri. Burial will follow services at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.
