(From McQueen Funeral Home)Zona Mae England, age 91, of Wheaton, Missouri passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 at McDonald County Living Center in Anderson, Missouri.
She was born June 28, 1931 in Gate, Oklahoma the daughter of Oden “Pappy” and Beulah (McLeod) Hendrix.
On November 27, 1957 in Wheaton, Missouri she was united in marriage to Jack England, who preceded her in death on December 24, 2016. Also preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers, Marvin Hendrix, Ed Hendrix and C.L. (Pete) Hendrix; one sister, Nova Schwandt; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Hendrix and Judi Hendrix; one brother-in-law, Brian Frank and an infant niece.
Surviving are two sons, C.L. England and his wife Donna of Wheaton, Missouri and Mark England and his wife Lisa of Wheaton, Missouri; one daughter, Tammy Haynes and her husband Kendall of Fairview, Missouri; one sister, Betty Frank of Springfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Zona moved to Wheaton, Missouri in 1936 with her family. She grew up and attended school in Wheaton graduating from Wheaton High School in 1948. She worked at the Barnes and Stone Chevrolet Agency in Wheaton from 1948 until 1953. She attended Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, Missouri graduating in 1955 and finished her education at Missouri Southern in Joplin, Missouri graduating in 1970 earning a bachelor’s degree. For twenty-seven years she taught first grade at the Wheaton Elementary School. She was a charter member of Wheaton Southern Baptist Church.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 15, 2022 at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Brother Tony Ball will conduct the services. Burial will be at Rocky Comfort Cemetery in Rocky Comfort, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. Thursday until service time at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
