Joseph “Cord” Schletzbaum, 30 of Dadeville, MO passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023. He was born on January 21, 1993, in Bolivar, MO, to Thomas and Angela (Clark) Schletzbaum.
Cord enjoyed life and was a big kid. For several years he battled with addiction, but the last few years he was his true self, and his family is thankful for those happy years together.
Cord reconnected with his faith in God and had been attending Eudora Baptist Church and their 490 Group. He also had been attending Dadeville Baptist Church. Cord enjoyed working on vehicles and was very mechanically minded. He was the youngest in the state of Missouri to get an inspector’s license at the age of 16. Cord loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding dirt bikes. He loved his family and spending time with them. Cord will be fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved him
Cord is survived by parents, Tom and Angie Schletzbaum; children, Addisyn Haymond, Ryver Bretz-Schletzbaum; siblings, Rachel Schletzbaum and fiancé Jessie Toler, Colt Schletzbaum and wife Melissa; grandmother, Ronda Clark; great grandmother, Beverly Johnson; grandfather, Ron Brawley; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and many friends.
Cord was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Zelma Schletzbaum, Lonnie Clark, Margaret Brawley, and Larry Johnson.
Visitation will be noon – 2:00PM, Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Dadeville Baptist Church. Graveside services will be 2:30PM, Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Sinking Creek Cemetery, Everton.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to 490 Group at Eudora Baptist Church or to Addisyn and Ryver’s college fund.
