(From Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home)Jackie (Jack) Dean Ball AIA, 89, died in his home in Rogersville, MO on November 22nd, 2023. He was born in Anderson, MO on January 21, 1934, to Charles William Ball and Maude E. (Anderson) Ball who preceded him in death. Jack was the youngest sibling of seven, with Twyla, Max, Mary, Steve, Karl and Shirley, all preceding him in death.
He graduated Pittsburg High School and joined the U.S. Marine Corp, and then married Sharon Marie (McAdams) Ball on April 15, 1958 (who preceded him in death in 2004).
He attended college at Pittsburg State University and in 1961 they moved to Springfield, MO. Jack worked for Joe Amspacher, and then in a partnership Ball – Engle, until starting his own architecture firm Jack Ball & Associates in 1974, where he worked until his retirement in 1999.
He loved to fly planes, woodwork, fish & hunt, play golf, boat, travel in his RV, bake bread, and for the last 5 years he was into mowing the lawn. Survivors include his daughter Jennifer Marie Ball of Greenwood, MO; son J. Christopher Ball AIA and his wife Susan E. Ball of Rogersville, MO; grandchildren Elle Marie Ball and Lindsey Ellen Ball of Rogersville, MO; great-granddaughter Charlotte Marie Ball-Riegle of Rogersville, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

A military funeral will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Road, Springfield, MO at 11 am Wednesday, December 13th, with a celebration of life immediately following at Metropolitan Grill, 2931 E. Battlefield Road, Springfield, MO.
