(From Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home)Scott Kevin Rives, age 60, of Aurora, Missouri, passed peacefully with his wife by his side on Monday, November 13, 2023, at his home. We are grateful that he is no longer in pain and are comforted knowing we will see him again in heaven. He was born September 4, 1963, in San Diego, California, the son of the late Henry “Hank” and Norma (Thompson) Rives.
Scott was a 1982 graduate of Will C. Crawford High School, in San Diego, California. He worked as a welder for Play Power in Monett, Missouri.
Scott enjoyed fishing with his wife at Roaring River as well as taking couples trips with his in-laws Alan and Lisa Larson. His grandchildren lit up his life and a hole will be left in his family’s hearts.
On June 1, 2017, he married Doris May Larson in San Diego, California.

Scott is survived by his wife, Doris; four children, Anthony Larson and his wife, Jaime, of Cassville, Missouri, Axl Larson and his wife, Audrey, of Ozark, Missouri, Tristen Larson and his wife, Tia, of Springfield, Missouri and Richard Lauffer and his fiancée, Kelly Utter, of Everton, Missouri; four grandchildren, Uriah, Adalyn, Fynnlee and Lincoln Larson; one brother, Steve Rives and his wife, Debbie, of San Diego, California; one sister, Diane Lehrer and her husband, Jeff, of San Diego, California and several nieces and nephews.
