Sharon Moss

Sharon Jean Moss, 76, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at St. Lukes Nursing Center in Carthage. 

Sharon was born on June 19, 1947, in Independence, Kansas, to Richard W. Merrick and Velma (Ringle) Merrick. She was a secretary at the Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney office for 32 years. 

She was a die-hard Chiefs fan and enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sharon was united in marriage to Roger A. Moss on May 26, 1978; he survives.

Along with her husband, Roger, she is survived by her three children, Paula J. Maggard (Lloyd), Robert J. Moss, and Simone R. Moss; four grandchildren, Kylie, Aaron, Jayme, Christopher; four great children, Tristan, Aiden, Zoey, and Evelyn; and two brothers, Robert Merrick (Dinah), and Richard Merrick (Sara).

She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Velma Merrick.

There will be a memorial graveside service for Sharon at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Dudman Springs Cemetery in Carthage Missouri.
