Mary Welch

Mary Carolyn Welch, age 80, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 9:00 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023, at her home. She was born February 15, 1943, in Marshall, Missouri, the daughter of Edward and Ruth (Price) Hutchens.

Mary was an over the road truck driver. She loved to dance and play the piano and was a member of the Lockwood Christian Church.

On June 29, 1975, she married Richard Welch in Lockwood, Missouri.

Mary is survived by her husband of 48 years, Richard; one son, David Parker of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; two daughters, Tonya Swartz and her husband, Patrick, of Trophy Club, Texas and Tammy Pyle and her husband, Dennis, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Edward, and Ruth and one brother, Robert Hutchens.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at a later date with a burial at Lockwood Cemetery.

 Arrangements are under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family for expenses.
