Peggy Hollenbeck

Peggy J Hollenbeck age 75 passed away at 6:30 am, Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at her home following an illness.

Peggy was born February 22, 1948, in Elk City, Oklahoma. Her parents were Joe and Wilma (Garrett) Baker. She had lived in Carthage since November 2021, moving from Purcell, Missouri.

Peggy attended Purcell Baptist Church and Harvest Pentecostal Church, Webb City, MO. She enjoyed attending church fellowships in Purcell each month. She enjoyed reading, working cross word puzzles and other games and puzzles on her cell phone. She was an avid KC Chiefs fan.

Peggy was married to Frank Verne Hollenbeck on May 7, 1971 in Durango, Colorado. He preceded her in death November 7, 2021.

She is survived by one daughter, Stacia Willoughby (husband, Brian), Carthage, MO; one brother, Joe Baker, Cedar City, UT; one sister, Gail Jones, Reo Rancho, NM; one granddaughter, Jessica Willoughby, Carthage , 4 nieces and 2 nephews.

Peggy was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS for cremation. The family will take her to her final resting place in Friends Cemetery, Purcell, MO at later date.
