Phillip Gordon

Phillip Wayne Gordon, 49, passed away on November 27, 2023, in Carthage, MO. He was born on March 10, 1974 to the late Pamela June McDonough in Joplin, MO.

After the loss of his mother, Pamela June McDonough, at a young age, he was lovingly adopted and raised by his grandparents, Elmo and Sue McDonough, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Llewellyn Gordon.

Phillip enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Bulls, and watching movies.

Survivors include his sister, Suzanne Gordon; step-brothers; Dustin and Darin Gordon, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who will miss him dearly. Phillip's presence was a source of happiness and comfort to his family, and his memory will be treasured forever.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel in Joplin, Mo. Burial will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Jason Bailey and Dusty Holt serving as pallbearers, along with Honorary pallbearer, Danny Moore.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Cerebral Palsy of Tri-County Webb City Development Center.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Mo.
