Sarah Peasley

Sarah Katherine Peasley, age 76 of Carl Junction, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024 after a short illness. 

Sarah was born May 21, 1948 in Webb City, Missouri to the late Edwin and Laura R. (Taylor) Vaughan. She married the love of her life in August of 1967. Sarah made her family a top priority in everything she did. The love she had for them was immeasurable.

Sarah worked as a Medical Assistant to many local doctors throughout her career. She was well respected in her career and loved by many of her patients. Sarah had a passion to bake, along with her sister, they opened Two Sisters in The Kitchen Bakery. 

Her greatest accomplishments were raising her daughters and enjoy all the time she could with her grandchildren. Another love of Sarah’s was for her two dogs, Sammy and Dexter.

Those left to mourn her passing include her husband of 57 years, Gary Peasley; daughters, Sonya Parker of Joplin and Kim Immesote (Russ) of Carl Junction; grandchildren, Russell and Natalie Immesote(Codi Gray); brothers, Larry (Gail) Vaughan of Joplin and Mike Vaughan of Webb City; sister, Penny (Bob) Morgan of Joplin; numerous extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Golden Paw Resort in care of the mortuary.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
