(From Clark Funeral Home)Hopie Maxine Ross, born on January 23, 1926, in Diamond, Missouri, to Joseph and Blanche (Brock) Hood, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024, at the age of 98.
Hopie married Herbert Ross on November 6, 1959, in Miami, Oklahoma. Their union was marked by love and devotion until Herbert’s passing. A dedicated homemaker, Hopie also worked at Reynolds Book Bindery, where she left a lasting impact through her diligence and care.
A woman of deep faith, Hopie was a member of Englewood Assembly Church and an avid Bible scholar. Her love for scripture was matched only by her joy in spending time with her family, creating cherished memories. She is survived by her brother-in-law Kenny Ross and wife Barbara and sister-in-law Norma Grisom, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Hopie was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; her parents, Joseph and Blanche; her infant son, Leroy Testerman; her two brothers, W.M. Hood and Joseph Hood; and her two sisters, Irene Hammack Perez and Mae Wilson Stockton.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Hopie’s life at Clark Funeral Home – Chapel of Memories in Neosho, Missouri, on Thursday, December 12, 2024. Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, with the funeral service immediately following at 1:30 PM. Graveside services will take place at Granby Memorial Cemetery. Reverend Brandon Watkins will officiate.
Hopie’s legacy of faith, family, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
