(From Ozark Memorial Park Crematory)James “Jim” Eldon Taylor passed away in his home from diabetes and heart health complications on November 3, 2024.
He was born in Kansas City, MO on November 5, 1959, to the late Richard “Dick” Eldon Taylor and Alice Louise (Bennett) Taylor. He and his family moved to Joplin, MO in 1964 where he lived the rest of his life. Jim was known for his love of Jesus and his daughters, his “Dad” jokes that he’d deliver as if they were new every time, his appreciation of music (especially rock music), his love and loyalty to the Kansas City Chiefs, and his big heart. He struggled with mental and physical health issues all his life, so though we are sad he is gone, we are glad his struggle is over.
Jim was proceeded in death by two unborn children, Richard “Dick” Taylor (his father), Alice Louise (Bennett) Taylor (his mother), his brother Timothy Taylor, his brother Charles Taylor, an unborn grandchild, Moriah Tikvah, great nephews Zachary and Brennan, and many other loved ones.
Survivors include his two daughters, Alicia Lowry and Belinda “Nichole” Taylor; three nieces, Amber Wright, Tiffany Taylor, and Jennifer Taylor; and two great nephews, Richard Taylor and Jayvyn Cooper. Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory of Joplin, MO.
