Ruth D. Richardson Burnett, age 72, of Springdale, Ark., was called to her heavenly home on Friday Nov. 29. A celebration memorial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18 at Salem Lutheran Church, 1800 West Emma Avenue, Springdale, Ark., by Rev. Adam Gless. Burial will be in Western Township Cemetery, Orion, Illinois, at a later date by Rev. David A. Anderson of Trinity Lutheran Church, Coal Valley, Illinois.
Ruth was born on June 22, 1952, in Moline, Illinois, to Rolland J. Richardson and Elsie A. (Sturdevant) Richardson. She was a former Escrow Officer at Beach Enterprises, Little Rock, Ark., and was blessed to be offered a position at Salem Lutheran Church and School as a preschool cook and custodian, where she joyfully served for 21 years. She retired June 1, 2024.
Ruth attended school in Orion, Illinois, until 1969, and graduated from Neosho High School, Neosho, Mo., in 1970. Ruth was a very active member of her church family and enjoyed working with children. Survivors include sons, James Matthew Harbert (Angi), Wautoma, Wis., Martin James Burnett (Tracy), Springdale, Ark., and Michael Brian Burnett (Lorrie), Paris, Ark.; grandchildren, Aaron Burnett, Jeffery Burnett (Taylor), Daniel Burnett, Samantha Burnett Gutierrez (Jeffrey), Jordan Hill; and great-grandchildren, Ellie Stewart, Jeremy Hill, Landon Burnett, Payton Rogell, and Bella Rose Burnett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Lee Richardson.
