Imogene Bias

(From Konantz Warden Funeral Home)

Velma “Imogene” Bias was born July 1st, 1932 in Lutie, MO, to Hugh and Addie (Crawford) Ward.

Imogene worked for the Liberal schools for several years. She and J.R. operated the Bias TV Service until their retirement. After retirement they took up woodworking as their second hobby. She was also known for her beautiful crochet work. She could look at anything and reproduce it. Imogene was a people person. She never met a stranger. In recent years Imogene began a new career as a travel agent. Her own love for travel made the work easy and she enjoyed helping others plan their getaways. Her great grandchildren were the “apple of her eye” especially her Izzy and Emma. She loved going to garage sales with Kody and watching Colton and Wyatt play baseball and she loved just being with Allee (and husband Brian), Erica, Mark, Meggie and Laney.

She is survived by two daughters; Janice (Richard) Lintner of Wellsville, KS and Glenda (David) Marler of Protem, Mo; one stepdaughter, Kathy Loftis of Gainesville, Mo; three grandchildren, Jana Lee Duitsmann, Annette Dunn and Clint (Shellie) Marler; ten great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild due in October. She was preceded in death by her husband J.R., her parents, one sister and one step-grandson.

The funeral service will be held at the True Hope Baptist Church in Theodosia, MO, Saturday at 2 P.M. Burial will follow at the Lutie Cemetery. There will be a visitation Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar, MO.
