Marilyn Sue Pliler age 73 of Carterville, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at her home.
She was born in Webb City, Missouri to F. LeRoy Williams and Agnes (West) Williams on January 1, 1945. Marilyn worked in the food service industry for 30 plus years, and at the Ramada Inn in Joplin just shy of 20 years. She was a member of the Carterville Methodist Church, and her focus in life was spending time with her family especially her kids and grandkids which she loved dearly.
She married William Roy Pliler on September 3, 1966 in Joplin, Missouri and he preceded her in death on January 18, 1982 and now she is finally reunited with the love of her life that she had missed dearly for so many years. Marilyn was also preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Lois Barlow.
She is survived by her sons, Brian Pliler and wife Kristy of Springfield, Missouri, Kevin Pliler of Carterville, Missouri; daughters, Susan Manka and husband Donald of Carterville, Missouri, Gretchen Passley and husband Travis of Carterville, Missouri; sister, Leah Cox of Carterville, Missouri; brother, Gary Williams of Ft. Collins, Colorado; Grandsons, Keith Pliler, Andrew Manka, Garrett Pliler, Colton Passley, Michael Manka; granddaughters, Allison Pliler, and Autumn Pliler.
The family will be present for visitation on Monday, July 9, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM at Carterville Cemetery.
