Robert "Bob" Peterson, 79 years, of Neosho, Missouri was called to heaven on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Medicalodge in Neosho, Missouri.
He was born on August 20, 1939 in Scottdale, Pennsylvania to the late Robert Herman and Anna Ellen (Ansell) Peterson. Robert married the love of his life, Donna Goodnight on March 26, 1966 in Reno, Nevada. They raised their children in Elkland, Missouri, before moving to Neosho, Missouri six years ago. He was a manager at a lumber yard in Strafford, Missouri. He was a wood craftsman and enjoyed building furniture and doing handyman work around the house. Robert will be remembered as a quiet, peaceful and gentle man.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings, Billy Eugene Peterson and Betty Louise Davis.
He is survived by sons, Barry Peterson and wife, Janet of Granby, Missouri, Jeff Garza and wife, Teresa Perez of Olathe, Kansas; a brother, Richard Peterson of Scottdale, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; Katlyn Peterson, Jessica Divine, Kristina Peterson and Grant Garza; two great grandchildren, William Bronc Divine and Ella Grace Divine; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss Robert.
Funeral service for Robert "Bob" Peterson will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Mitchell Wright will officiate. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Union Cemetery in Stella, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at this time.
