Arzie Denzil Arms of Commerce, OK passed from this life Sunday, March 20, 2022 at his home. He was 84.

Arzie was born August 10, 1937 in Searcy County, AR to Cam and Ava (Dean) Arms. He had lived in the Commerce and Miami area for the past 57 years. He worked in construction and orchard work, for Pettit Manufacturing in Miami, OK for 16 years.

Arzie was preceded in death by his wife Betty Lou Arms, July 9, 1994 after 32 years of marriage, 1 daughter Anna Marie Arms in 1962, his parents, 1 brother Carlton Arms and 2 sisters Shirley Thomas and Bonnie Horton.

Survivors include 3 sons, James Denzil Arms of Miami, OK, Melvin Andrew “Andy” Arms of Miami, OK and William Robert “Bobby” Carlton Arms of Commerce, OK, 1 daughter, Mary Pearl Arms Miller Wyrick and husband Mark of Seneca, MO, 2 granddaughters, Ashley Miller Cummings and Casey Miller, 1 grandson, Markuss Wyrick and 2 great grandchildren Keegan and Jaylynn.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel Commerce, OK. Rev. David McCord and Larry Fleming will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. Tim Sargent, Dean North, John Cousatte, Gary Dunnic, Chelsea Cummings and Kenny Kimerer will serve as pallbearers. Chuck Billman and Delbert Miller will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Commerce, OK.
