Judi Steele passed away March 6, 2022, at her home in Joplin. She was born Dec. 5, 1944, to Wade and Patricia (Hosp) Wetherell in Joplin and lived most of her life in Joplin. She graduated from Joplin High School in 1962.
She married Larry Steele, of Seneca, on June 6, 1963.
Although she held many jobs (Arvest, Book Barn, and H&R Block among them,) she wanted to be known as a homemaker, taking care of her children and grandchildren: Chad, wife Lacie, their son, Ian; Tim, wife Jennifer, their children, Averi and Sean; and Rhea Lynn and son, Chance Passmore.
They all survive her, along with husband, Larry, her brother, Gerry Wetherell (Cambridge, Ohio,) and sister, Janet Brown (Joplin.) She is also survived by many well-loved nieces, nephews, and cousins and her beloved Thor and Misty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Larry Wetherell, son-in-law Larry Passmore, and granddaughter Emma Grace Steele.
Services will be held at Christ Church of Oronogo on March 24th at 1pm.
