(From Konantz Warden Funeral Home)Ella “Marie” Winans passed away on Thursday March 24, 2022. Marie was born February 12, 1930, in Chadwick, MO to Leona (Clevenger) and George Morgan. She graduated from Chadwick High School in 1950.
In 1951, she married Elvin E. Winans and moved to Jasper, MO where they farmed and raised their family. Marie was a hardworking farm wife. She not only did the housework and cared for her family, but she prepared three large meals per day and did any outside chores necessary. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper, MO. She was a loving wife and mother who doted on her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marie is survived by sons, Elvin Winans Jr. and Aubry Winans; grandchildren, Darrelle (Eric) Hill of Jasper, MO, Clifford (Melissa) Winans of Springfield, MO, Ray (Debbie) Winans of Jasper, MO, and Darren Winans of Charleston, MO; and great grandchildren, Bridget Hill of Jasper, MO, Gatlin Hill of Jasper, MO, Quentin Winans of Jasper, MO, Jesse Winans of Jasper, MO, Ray Winans of Emporia, KS, Tristan Winans of Emporia, KS, Ange Buhlinger of Jasper, MO, Katelyn Buhlinger of Jasper, MO, Reuben Winans of Springfield, MO, and Arianna Hunt of Jasper, MO. She is also survived by great-great grandchildren, Rickert Winans and Luna Winans; siblings, Martha Jessup of Springfield, MO, Don (Roseanne) Morgan of AZ; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; and siblings, Mary Effie Mapes, Nancy Beshirs, Ralph Morgan, Floyd Morgan, Anna Mae Fletcher, and Johnny Morgan.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Jasper Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
The family will receive visitors from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday March 27, 2022 and a funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday March 28, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Jasper, MO.
