Roy Langford

Leonard Roy Langford, age 90, Joplin, passed away on March 17, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.

Roy was born April 24, 1931 in the United Kingdom. He is the son of the late Leonard and Margaret (Harley) Langford. He grew up in England. Roy leaves one sister, Beryl Milsom, of Tetbury, Gloucestershire, UK. He was a “Bobby” in London and a member of the Canadian Air Force. Roy worked for Tristate Motor Transit and Charles Burt Realty. He retired in 2002. He was an avid golfer.

Roy is survived by three sons, Harley, Ashley, and Warren and one daughter Shelley Creppen, all of Canada, and his stepchildren, Richard, Ben, and Jennifer Leavens, Lisa Mitchell, and Lesley VanVolkinburg. He leaves 21 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and his best friend, Ellen Pendley.

Roy was fun and eternally optimistic. We will miss him.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Parker Mortuary Chapel from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
