Gwendolyn Baxter

Gwendolyn Sue Baxter, age 58, of Wentworth, Missouri, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Daughter of Walter and Gwendolyn (Macadoo) Cronin, Gwendolyn was born on November 7, 1963, in Houston, Texas.

In her younger years, Gwendolyn loved to get dressed up and go dancing. A devoted homemaker, Gwendolyn enjoyed going to flea markets and collecting antiques. She was an avid animal lover, always taking in strays and feeding them, even when she herself would have to go without to do so.






 

Gwendolyn cherished her many friends and looked forward to playing cards with them at every opportunity. Most of all, Gwendolyn loved her children. No matter the distance or what life would throw at them, her children were her greatest treasures. Gwendolyn was a dear soul and she will be greatly missed.

Gwendolyn is survived by her four sons, Isaiah Costlow and his wife Melissa, of Branson, Missouri, Zack Costlow, of Springfield, Missouri, Kip Cronin and his wife Chelsea, of Oronogo, Missouri, and Jared Baxter, of Wentworth, Missouri; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Angie Farmer, of Aurora, Missouri.

In addition to her parents, Gwendolyn was preceded in death by brothers, Alfred and Joseph Cowles, and sister, Glynis Cronin.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at White Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri, with Minister Carrie Beck officiating.

Service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home & Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
