(From Clark Funeral Home)Mary Lea Cole was born February 23, 1937, in the community of Spring City, one of seven children to Roy J. and Charlotta (Williams) Bridges. She entered into rest on March 16, 2022, in Joplin, Missouri at the age of eighty-five.
Mary Lea grew up on the family farm located between Racine and Spring City. She graduated from Neosho High School class of 1955. She began her banking career with the First National Bank and worked there for twenty-one years.
In June 1979, she began working at Southwest Missouri Bank where she retired in 1996.
Mary Lea loved her family and taking care of them, they were always her top priority. She enjoyed reading and helping those in need. She was a member of the Neosho United Methodist Church.
Mary Lea Bridges and Lewis Cole were united in marriage on September 29, 1956, at the Neosho United Methodist Church and Lewis survives.
In addition to her husband of 65 years, she is survived by two daughters, Lisa Cole of Neosho, Kara Beth (Brian) Lowry of Joplin; Mollee Beth Hall, Adam Cole, Cole Lowry, Collin Lowry and Claire Lowry and four great grandchildren, Trenton, Hadyn, Trace and Liam.
She is preceded in death by a son, Jeff; her parents, five brothers, Billy, Don, Fred, Bobby and Jimmie and an infant sister, Geraldine.
