(From Knell Mortuary)Harold Bell Myers, 80, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Monday morning, March 28, 2022, at his home. Harold was born December 15, 1941, in La Russell, Missouri, the son of Marion Myers and Madeline (Bowman) Myers. He was a graduate of Carthage High School.
Harold married Mary Garrison on July 21, 1969, in Miami, Oklahoma; she preceded him in death on April 21, 2013. Harold was a street sweeper for the City of Carthage from July of 1974 until his retirement in October of 2003. He enjoyed cutting wood and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Passalacqua (Chris), Salem, Missouri, and Melissa Carpenter, Carthage, Missouri; three sons, Harold Myers (Lisa), Carthage, Missouri, David Myers (Summer), Carthage, Missouri, and Bill King (Becky), Chilhowee, Missouri; a brother, Arthur Myers (Vernetta); a sister, Louise Cross; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Virginia Sloniker; a granddaughter, Jennifer Myers; and a great-granddaughter, Ashlie Myers.
Graveside memorial services will be held 2 pm, Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Carthage. Memorial gifts are suggested to Meals on Wheels, Carthage in care of Knell Mortuary.
