Frances Soltow

Frances Helen Soltow, 86, of Southwest City, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

Frances entered this life on April 22, 1935, in Denver, Colorado, daughter of the late Mike and Susie Lamirato. 








On June 11, 1955, in Denver, she was united in marriage to Edward William Soltow and to this union two daughters and four sons were born. In 1973, the family moved from Denver to Southwest City, Missouri. For several years she assisted her husband in the operation of their family business, Soltow Business Supply and Printing Company in Grove, Oklahoma. She was a longtime member of Church of the Nativity Catholic Church in Noel, Missouri, where she also served as church bookkeeper.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty years, Edward Soltow on March 28, 2006; and three siblings, George Lamirato, Madeline Thompson and Theresa Lamirato.

Frances is survived by two daughters, Susan Law and husband, David, of Southwest City, Missouri and Carol Pryor and husband, Kenneth, of Pryor, Oklahoma; four sons, Eddie Soltow and wife, Sue, of Anderson, Michael Soltow of Southwest City, Missouri, Robert Soltow and wife, Marla, of Seneca, Missouri and Christopher Soltow and wife, Sarah, of Ballwin, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren, Stanley, Brandon, Justin and Nick Cummins, Mathew Pryor, Jessica, Nathan, Anthony, Joshua, Sophia, Ellie and Olivia Soltow and Kayla and Robert Barton; nine great grandchildren, Aidan, Leland, Levi, Josephine, Everett, Ira, Molly and Myla Commins and Ryker Marshall; and four siblings, Butch and Tommy Lamirato and Margaret Pitton and Josephine Santangelo all from Denver, Colorado; as well as a host of other family and friends.



Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Soltow will be held on Tuesday morning, March 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Nativity in Noel, Missouri, with Father Chaz Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Southwest City Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Stanley Cummins, Brandon Cummins, Justin Cummins, Nick Cummins, Mathew Pryor and Nathan Soltow. Rosary service will begin on Monday evening at 5:00 p.m. with visitation to follow until 7:00 p.m. at the Ozark Funeral Home Chapel in Southwest City, Missouri.
