(From Clark Funeral Home)Connie Kay Miller, age 77, of Goodman, Missouri, entered into rest at 1:35 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
She was born one of two identical twins, on September 5, 1944, in Springfield, Missouri, to Lloyd and Martha (Spencer) Perkins. Connie and Bonnie were the first to be in the incubators at the local hospital when they were born. She grew up in Springfield and graduated from Hillcrest High School.
Connie attended the Church of the Firstborn, the Apostolics of Anderson Church, and Blessed Hope churches. She worked for Sunbeam and La-Z-Boy; however, her most endearing job was that of a mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her five children, Curtis Miller and wife, Pam of Stella, Christina Lehar and husband, Todd of Neosho, LeAnn Presley and husband, Mike of Harrison, Arkansas, Loree Carver and husband, Todd of Goodman, and DeAnna Miller of Neosho; her identical twin sister, Bonnie Boyd and her husband, Marvin of Phillipsburg, Missouri; one stepsister, Rochelle Grau and her husband, Bert of Goodman; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
In addition to her parents and husband, her stepmother, Ruby Perkins; aunt, Jane Perkins; and stepsister, Yolanda Richie, and grandparents who helped raise the twins, J.O. and Gertrude Spencer, preceded her in death.
A funeral service is to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho, with burial at Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Ryan Gustason will officiate.
