(From Parker Mortuary)Kelli Dawn Greer, age 52, of Grove, received her eternal reward of her faith, on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin.
Kelli, daughter of Marvin Greer, Jr. and Karen (Stoner) Carrico, was born on August 29, 1969 in Miami. She grew up and attended school graduating from Joplin High School.
On October 19, 2013 she was united in marriage to her soul mate, Jeff Greer.
Kelli loved life and her family. She enjoyed being outdoors and living by the lake. Kelli always had a positive outlook on life, even after her seven-year battle with breast cancer. She saw the best in everyone, was kind, nurturing and an extraordinary wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff Greer, of Grove; children, Justin Strait, and his wife, AnaLaura, of Baldwin City, KS, Wynnter Shutters, and her husband, David, of Carthage, and Tiphani Pennington, and her husband, Josh, of Joplin; father, Marvin Greer, Jr., and his wife, Linda, of Joplin; grandchildren, Azariah Strait, Joash Strait, Elliana Strait, Brooklynn Hartje, Landyn Hartje, Hunter Shutters, Summer Shutters, and one “peanut” due to arrive soon; four brothers; one sister; and several nieces and nephews. Kelli was preceded in death by one infant; her biological father, Terry Rogers; and her mother, Karen Carrico.
The family will hold Celebration of Life services on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 6:30 PM at Christpoint Church in Galena. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Kelli and may be entrusted to the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
