Elizabeth Eileen Garrett Cantrell, 78 years, of Southwest City, Missouri, was called to heaven on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at her residence in Southwest City, Missouri, with her loving family by her side.
Eileen was born on August 18, 1938 at Noel, Missouri to the late Omer Luther and Minnie (Doty) Garrett. She grew up on a farm west of, Noel, Missouri. Eileen attended and graduated from the Noel High School. She worked at Emerson Electric in Rogers, Arkansas, drove a grain truck to elevators in Southwestern Kansas, did sales at Midwest furniture in Noel, Missouri and was a saw operator for Hudson Foods in Noel, Missouri. Eileen served on the Shoal Creek Baptist Association, WMU leadership team a number of years and WMU Director at the Noel First Baptist Church, Peter's Prairie Baptist Church and Sublette Southern Baptist Church in Sublette, Kansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dennis Leroy Cantrell; two brothers, Luther J. Garrett and Harold (Red) Garrett; a sister, Roberta Garrett Quarles.
Eileen is survived by three children, C. Nadine Brooker of Bella Vista, Arkansas, D. Eugene Cantrell of Jay, Oklahoma, Elbert Dean Cantrell and wife, Dixie of Southwest City, Missouri; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and wonderful friends who will dearly miss Eileen.
Funeral services for Eileen will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Calvary Stampede Cowboy Church in Southwest City, Missouri. Pastor Reverend Bob Easter will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lee Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, June 19, 2017 in the Southwest City Chapel of the Ozark funeral home. The family will receive friends at this time.
