Harvey C. Guinn, of Lockwood, MO, departed this life on Monday, June 19, 2017, in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO at the age of 87 years.
He was born on January 1, 1930 in Matador, TX to David Alphonzo and Cecil Elva (Cook) Guinn. Harvey graduated from Golden City High School in Golden City, MO, and the Missouri School of Mines in Rolla, MO. He served his country in the United States Army. Harvey worked for Texaco in oil production. He was a member of the Lockwood United Methodist Church and the Lockwood American Legion Roy E. Carr Post #372.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Guinn of the home; three brothers-in-law, Carl Woods, Leon Woods, and Marvin Woods; one sister-in-law, Nadine Woods; and a host of cousins in west Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 2017, in the Lockwood United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Lockwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until service time in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lockwood United Methodist Church or to The Crossing.
