Aaron Green

Aaron DeLane Green of Webb City, Missouri, entered into rest on August 8, 2022, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, at the age of 73. He was born March 11, 1949, in Richland, Washington, the son of Aaron D. and Madeleine (Hood) Green. 

Aaron graduated from Neosho High School in 1967, and following graduation, entered into service with the U.S. Air Force where he served in the Vietnam War. Aaron, affectionately known by his fellow servicemen as "Gator," served his country from October 2, 1967, until his retirement on October 31, 1987.






 

In 1987, following retirement, Aaron returned to Neosho from Jacksonville, Arkansas. He attended and graduated from Crowder College with an associate degree and worked at Wal-Mart and Cliffstar.
 Aaron loved working on fishing equipment, often sharing it with his grandchildren. He enjoyed coaching, playing baseball, softball, basketball, cooking, and most of all, taking care of his wife, Marylina. Aaron attended the Victory Road Christian Church in Anderson, Missouri. 

On June 12, 1968, at the home of Marylina’s sister in Joplin, Aaron and Marylina were united in marriage. She survives him of the home.

In addition to his wife of 54 years, Aaron is survived by three children; Marie Elena Butterfield and her husband, Scott of Tiff City, Missouri, Michael DeLane Green and his wife, Desaray of Joplin, Missouri and Amanda May Lene Wagner and her husband, Travis of Seneca; one sister, Mona Lisa Green White and her husband, Jack of Tulsa, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and one son-in-law, Bobby Mock of Osage Beach, Missouri.








He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Mark Lee.

A funeral service, under the direction of the Clark Funeral Home in Neosho, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022, at the Victory Road Christian Church in Anderson. Interment with full military honors will be held at the Hazel Green Cemetery in Boulder City, Missouri. The family will receive friends at a time of visitation from 5:30-7:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho.

Contributions in memory of Aaron may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
