J. D. Blackmore

J.D. Blackmore, age 68, of Jay, Oklahoma went to be with his Savior on Monday, August 1, 2022 at his home.

J.D. was born on October 23, 1953, to James and Marie (Dick) Blackmore in Gardena, CA. As a child, his family moved to Grove and he graduated from Grove High School, Class of 1971. After high school, J.D. went into to the refrigeration and electrical business and became a master of his craft. He owned and operated Tri-State Refrigeration and later taught classes at Northeastern A & M College and Northeastern Ok Votech.

A man of many talents, J.D. had his own band, the “Delaware County Cornhuskers”, and they played rockabillie gospel. He was also the President of the Spirit of the Wind Motorcycle Ministry. Another one of J.D.’s passions was farming. He grew many kinds of vegetables, but primarily potatoes. He was also famous for his handmade beef jerky that he’s been making for over 20 years.








J.D. was preceded in death by his parents. 

Left to cherish his memory, his wife Patricia Ann ‘Annie’, daughters Jodi (Jeremy) Stoked of Joplin, Missouri, Angela (Abraham) Rodriquez of Southwest City, Missouri, Lindsey Stafford and Makayla Tanner, both of Jay; Son Bo (Tiffany) Blackmore of Colorado Springs, Colorado; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.

Services are pending. Arrangements entrusted to Nichols-Stephens Funeral & Cremation Services.
