(From Parker Mortuary)Rebecca Jayne Stephens, age 65, Carl Junction, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, August 7th, 2022.
Rebecca was born March 15, 1957 in Stella, Missouri to the late union of Carus and Rachel (Long) Babb. She was a 1975 graduate of East Newton High School.
She then went on to obtain her Bachelors degree in Childhood and Early Childhood Education from Missouri Southern State University in 2000.
Before graduating college she married the love of her life, Charles Stephens, on May 5th, 1981 in Miami, Oklahoma. Together they were blessed with 15 years before his passing on January 7th, 1997. She enjoyed reading,but adored her grandbabies the most.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two siblings, Carolyn Hughes and Larry Babb.
Rebecca is survived by her two children, Christopher Babb (Amber) and Sheba Lewis (Huey); and 10 grandchildren, Charles Babb, Bailey Babb, Naomi Stephens-Lewis, Liza Lewis, Dakota Lewis, Jasper Lewis, Matthew Lewis, Markus Lewis, Logan Lewis, and Mariska Lewis.
Funeral services are pending.
